 LISTENING  TO ENGLISH : PHONETICS
 

Today we  first  completed  a  Worksheet  with

some phonetic rules (stressed syllables)

   Eva Longoria 's speech at the

DNC in Charlotte. (Sept 6)

Last lesson you  learnt how to deliver a speech. Together we focused

on the  manner : the way Eva  talks, sounds  and how she

manages to convince her audience.

You  learnt how to mark a speech and spot all the pauses

in  her speech  and you  focused on the  heavily stressed words 

(the words Eva emphasizes) and the stressed syllables. 

Today we completed this work and we focused on  the

importance of  body language in the delivery of a speech.

I had you match  each gesture with the appropriate text.

We had fun doing this !
