Most of you have  trouble  presenting coherent

arguments by linking ideas together.

                 

When writing essays you are also  expected to

point out similarities, highlight differences, justify

statements and provide examples and conclusions.

The use of transition words will help you

develop linkage in writing.

                     

So today you were introduced to the most common

transition words (= linking words) and to the

different types of connection through  a Powerpoint

Presentation. 

While watching I had you fill in a form  to help you

classify the different transitions.
