Last lesson you were introduced to a recording entitled : (Doc 3) NED KELLY MEMORIAL SERVICE (News Report) . I had you anticipate the nature and topic with the title. It was a good opportunity to review the use of modal verbs for certainty, probability and deduction to express assumptions.
Today we continued studying the recording. You were expected to check your predictions while listening and comment on the number of speakers to figure out the nature of the recording under study.
After a brief recap today, I had you fill in a Recap with key information to help you introduce the recording.
We then continued studying the News Report and you were reminded of the importance of numbers and names in order to build meaning of the event being reported .
